Description
These case studies from seven countries (Belize, Ecuador, Moldova, Rwanda, Swaziland, Tajikistan and Thailand) highlight strategies for addressing gender-based violence as a cause and consequence of HIV, and engaging men and boys as agents of positive change to halt gender-based violence and promote gender equality and human rights. They highlight some of the strategies that emerged from two global consultations on "Integrating Strategies to Address Gender-based Violence and Engage Men and Boys to Advance Gender Equality through National Strategic Plans on HIV and AIDS" conducted by the UN Interagency Working Group on Women, Girls, Gender Equality and HIV in collaboration with the MenEngage Alliance, Sonke Gender Justice and ATHENA Network.
