This year, the International Day of Action for Women's Health highlights the disproportionate impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on women’s right to sexual and reproductive health. Åsa Regnér, Assistant Secretary-General and Deputy Executive Director for Normative Support, UN System Coordination and Programme Results at UN Women, addresses the negative impact which COVID-19 has had on women’s health, and the role which UN Women’s Generation Equality Forum will have on accelerating gender equality, particularly with concern to bodily autonomy and sexual and reproductive health and rights.
