At the first Sexual and Reproductive Health Conference of the Barbados Family Planning Association (BFPA), Dr. St John stressed the importance of improving sexual and reproductive health and rights to address the countries' high sexually transmitted infection rates, prevent and treat HIV and promote gender equality and opportunities for young people.
